Arg, I am such a butt head. I hate not having time for myself during the day and yet I choose to sleep until just an hour before I depart for work! So, the threesome of pictures I took this morning are a reflection of that, as is my appearance in the office today. Though a bit rushed, a couple of them turned out "OK."
This is an amazing picture my friend took, please visit his profile and comment. On Sunday I had my tattoo worked on! It's still not finished, one more session to go, but it looks incredible. The healing process is such a pain in the ass, my arm swathed in cellophane and ointment in this Arizona summer. Just as soon as I heal it up, I'll be starting the process all over again, but luckily for the last time on this one. Just a couple more weeks, just a couple more...The artist, Tony Goeke, is very patient. Hah, I'm next to him making faces and he's putting together this lovely piece. I have a lot of respect for his talent. Haha, I get the "look" as I'm cleaning it in the office bathroom sink. *rolls eyes* Relax, I'm not getting a staff infection for your comfort.
Mmm, can't wait to take this wrapper off it tomorrow. I'm like a big piece of yummy candy!

Q. What kind of cameras do you use?
A. A Canon, of course. I also have a Diana Plus and a Holga (Sweet little Japanese cameras from the 50's) and a Polaroid.
A. Can I manipulate your pictures to give you an idea of ways to improve them?
Q. NO!!! For me, if you look at my pictures and don't like them, think something could be improved, comment, I wont get offended. But DO NOT photoshop or manipulate my photographs and then ask me if it's ok, because IT'S NOT. To me, taking a picture I enjoyed enough to put in my gallery and changing it is VERY INSULTING. I have a certain style as a photographer, and I ask that you please respect that.
Q. Can I make Fan Art of your work/you?
A. Of course, that is very flattering and I welcome it, so long as you're doing the work from scratch, not manipulating my pictures. Drawings, poems, paintings, etc are fine and dandy.
Q. Who exactly is taking the pictures of YOU, if you're the one in them?
A. I take ALL my own photographs, down to the last pixel. I either extend my arm if I am near enough, otherwise I give the Ole' 10 Second Auto Timer a work out!
Q. Why the Watermark?
A. I put watermarks on all my things, -(c)Danielle Lorti- to prevent stealing. I can't say for sure if they're great enough to steal, but I do know I have seen theft of less...
Q. Where do you get the captions/descriptions for your photographs?
A. Unless it's in quotes, music notes, or says someone else's name next to it, I wrote it. I am a writer, you know.
Q. What is your favorite thing to photograph?
A. People, and skin.
Q. Can I use or alter your pictures for my art, blogs, Myspace, etc?
A. Not without my permission, please.

A. That would be my skull ring. I NEVER take it off. You'll see it frequently.

A. NO...NO...NO. Hah, I am big on leaving a picture natural, I don't use photoshop for any of my work, ever. My photographs=100% Alter-Free (Though I do add borders/watermarks to them.)

A. Me by default. Also my horse Bailey, and my Pomeranian dog, Pigeon.

Hello and welcome to my profile! My name is Danielle, and I am an amateur photographer and a phenomenal writer, though I will only be posting pictures on this account. The written word is so easily stolen, spoken words for that matter...Mmm, photography, well, I love expressive and emotive photography, and bold colors, artistic nudes, portraits, abstracts, architecture, etc. I'm crazy about people in pictures, skin is just hypnotizing to me. Portraits, poses, proclivities and the like. I have a big "thing" for tattoos. -Le sigh- I really enjoy browsing work on this site, you'll notice my less than humble list of "Favs." If yours is in there, you need to feel pretty important, that wasn't easy. And of course I like seeing mine in the old "Fav Gallery" now and again too. Your gallery, that is. I call my camera, affectionately, Encarnacion. I tend to name important yet inanimate objects and refer to them as such. I have several cameras of course, but the Canon is BOSS.
